I'm back Bishes!
Hurray! I'm back from my extended vacation in the real world, and I'm ready to take Vana'diel by storm! Lot's of crazy things have been happening as of late, so I'll try and squeeze them in here.
I decided it was time to level up dark knight again, so I geared up and realized I was missing my Haubergeon. Having very little cash I settled on using my Smithing prowess to try and make some HQ Thick gear. Still no luck, to this date I have yet to HQ any of this set. Recently I decided to lvl my goldsmithing up a little bit, and I'm glad I did. Messing around, not really planning on actually HQing these, I SYNTHED A HIGH QUALITY PAIR OF CURSED SOLLERETES. They're going of 6mil on the auction house, but since I needed them to sell fast and I didn't have a lot of gil at the time (yey for storage mules), I plopped my happy ass in battalia downs with my shiny shiny boots in my bazaar. I priced them at 4mil so they'd sell fast, and well, they did. Next morning my boots were gone and my bank account was FAT. I've been told that the synth at my lvl is a 1/100 chance to HQ, and I think it's eaten my HQ supply.
Since then, I have not been able to HQ ANYTHING, not even low lvl crap. I guess that's the definition of "Cursed".

First post from RL-ville, population: crazy. Seriously. It's been NUTS.
Finishing my degree here at the university, so I'm bogged down in paperwork. I've got 4 papers due at the end of the month, and one more due next week. It's like my professors know that I have zero time, and are doing their best to make my life a living hell.
Professor: So...you have 3 other classes, all research and work heavy?Lithos: ...y-yes.Professor: MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! My time has come! I've found a student on the brink of destruction! My revenge on the student body can begin!Lithos: ...I can hear you...Professor: No you can't. That was a soliloquy.Lithos: ...Yeah, I'm 90% sure my meeting with the crazy Biology teacher went something like that. Seriously, here are some things people think about her.
"IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR EASY TESTS AND EASY TO LEARN MATERIAL... DONT TAKE HER. MOST OF THE THINGS SHE TALKS ABOUT IN CLASS ARE NOT AT ALL RELEVANT TO WHAT IS ON THE TEST. FOR THE FIRST HALF OF CLASS SHE TALKS ABOUT THE SAME THING EVERYDAY. TESTS ARE TOTAL APPLICATION. SHE HAS THIS WHOLE THING ABOUT NOT MEMORIZING TOO."
"HORRIBLE! The tests are truly about application of material. You will have to count on your comprehension of the text and not her lecture. She spends more time talking about herself, she knows "her favorite" students by name and talks about them all of the time. I would much rather have a professor more interested in TEACHING"

The Poor SI has to take over all the time because more often then not, she'll skip our class to "get ready for her genetics class" becase the students there are so much better then we will ever be.
And yes, she actually said that.

3 years playing FFXI should be enough to make most people quit altogether, but alas, I'm only taking a break. Things here in the real world are getting a tad too hectic for me to spend an extended period of time in Vana'diel. While I will be returning, I can't really say when (though for awhile I'll be logging in twice a week for my assault statics sake), but I do promise I that will return!
My real life is showing some signs of slowing down due to FFXI, and I really need to start buckling down when it comes to college, graduation is around the corner after all. I have a new job, and it is also eating my time, so...yeah.
